- The person must be in good health
- The person must not have any active diseases or pre-existing medical conditions
- You must be mentally and emotionally stable to undergo an cosmetic procedure
- The person should have good elasticity in the skin (helpful, but not necessary)
- The person should have realistic expectations on the outcome of the surgery.

After facial liposuction the fatty cell will not return to the treated area because the body no longer produces new fat cells after puberty. The post-procedure weight gain comes after the fact from expanding the fat cell that we already have and in most cases only one session of a facial liposuction in necessary.
Recovery
One or two small stitches may be required to close the tiny holes from where the cannulas were placed. You will also be required to wear an elastic dressing over the treated area for a few days and also wear the elastic dressing for a couple of weeks during periods of sleep.
A mild pain reliever like Tylenol or Advil is all that is needed along with a cold pack to reduce the swelling. Most patients can resume normal activates within two to four days after the facial liposuction procedure.
